Mr Case Music
For set of debut tracks from a new artist, the material is of a high standard. Falling loosely into the pop/alternative/acoustic genre which is becoming increasingly popular, it would seem that these recordings are aptly timed.
Typically easy listening tracks with a soulful beat. The original introduction to 'Life on Earth' gives this track an edge and definite hook. Hints of Lionel Richie and The Lighthouse Family can be heard, but this has a slightly different approach by following the current singer/songwriter appeal of artists such as Newton Faulkner.
Honest, upbeat, and yet chilled out music creates the commercial appeal we are seeing within current music trends. Vocals are smooth and yet again have an original edge to them. With the relaxed style and narration of Jack Johnson, I would be interested to hear more material from this artist.
