Bio

Ambush are a vibrant four-piece band from Essex. Brothers Dave and John guide the rhythm section on drums and bass, while Pete’s funky guitar and vocal harmonies compliment James’ distinct voice. Their songs are filled with energy and soul – honest, original music that is performed with passion.

Since growing up in the same neighbourhood, the old school friends have been developing their musical talents in various different capacities – including one particular gig involving all four of them on a hot summer night in Belgium, playing to a thousand people during the Euro 2000 Championships. It wasn’t until some three years later that the foursome decided to get together to form Ambush.

The band continue to establish themselves through every live performance (including 2 great shows at the 2004 UK Glastonbury Festival) and have formed a strong, ever increasing fan base of people who love the band, the songs and the great atmosphere they create on stage. Now, with a catalogue of outstanding songs to choose from, Ambush are currently in the studio recording tracks for their self produced debut album ‘Happy to be Here’. The title track from the album is already receiving rave reviews:
