Alexander Brandon is an independent musician from Georgetown, Texas who writes synthpop and a variety of other styles. His goal is to bring higher songwriting skills back to popular music.

Alexander Brandon Bio

Alexander Brandon began writing music in 1987 when his parents, Joel and Cynthia, gave him his first Ad Lib Music Synthesizer Card for the family PC. 100 songs later he moved from pure synthesis into MOD music pioneered on the Amiga. 4 channels of PCM audio enabled composers to reproduce synth hits such as "Axel F" and "Rockit" with alarming precision.

Computer music was reaching a point in the studio where professional musicians were taking it seriously and Alex finally moved away from MODs into the realm of desktop recording. Having written music for numerous hit games such as Unreal and Deus Ex, he still had the dream of writing music that would challenge the traditional alternative / hip hop radio airplay that still pervades the airwaves and cable TV pop consciousness.

This site is devoted to those efforts. Alex transcends numerous styles, from electronica to acoustic pop, and has written numerous tunes that fans of his game music have requested be made available.

So many people write thanks without an idea of what they're writing. Every word that follows has a genuine and deep truth that I'll be happy to share over a pint to those willing to buy me one. Thanks to my mother for the appreciation of and the drive towards perfection, my father for his faith (and my first keyboard!), my sons Nicholas and Conner for their endless energy and wonder, and last but not least my beloved wife for giving me hope and strength to pursue my dreams.
