Home By Now

The Animators' full-length debut album, Home By Now was released in May of 2003 on their own Angelhouse Records. "Highly Recommended" by Performing Songwriter magazine, the record is an eclectic mix of electronic and acoustic textures, in the service of Copley and Wong's strong songwriting. The album was recorded during 2002 when the (at that time) two Animators lived on opposite coasts. The songs were for the most part written in the studio during the frantically productive periods when Copley and Wong could be in the same city. The result, according to the Los Angeles Times, "combines the songcraft of Peter Gabriel and the modern sensibilities of Nellee Hooper."
