Bio

Sandra Palmer has worked in and around music for nearly three decades; through this tremendous experience, she has gained unusually sharp insights into what makes music and lyrics work commercially - and the ability to create songs that truly resonate with listeners.

Sandra performed professionally in six diverse bands, touring 13 states throughout the Midwest and upper Great Plains for the better part of eight years. She sang lead and background vocals, as well as playing rhythm and lead guitar, bass and some banjo. Sandra then transitioned to radio broadcasting, where she became a featured, highly sought after on-air morning drive personality at the number one rated AOR stations in Chicago and Omaha; she also was affiliated with a jazz station in Washington, DC. During her 15 years as a broadcaster, Sandra wrote original material that went on to become the best-selling recording in Nebraska and Iowa for six straight weeks (source: Radio and Records). Sandra also is a licensed broadcast engineer, who has produced/engineered hundreds of radio commercials and programs.

Sandra is an incredibly versatile songwriter, with an impressive catalogue of songs that are characterized by smart lyrics and strong musical structure that can be taken in more than one direction. Her compositions reflect a variety of influences. She creates in several genres (e.g., pop, rock, alt rock, jazz, adult contemporary, and Americana). Her work is suitable for both female and male vocalists. These works are ready to license for film and/or television or as strong cuts for recording artists.

Sandra is a native of South Dakota and currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Thanks a lot! You say you liked the song and compared it to the Eagles and then gave it a rating of 31! I'm glad you liked it because I would hate to see the rating if you didn't. I sure hope you don't review any more of my stuff. I listened to some of your songs and I must say you got a lot of nerve! If anyone wants to hear the tune I'm talking about it's called "Gone But Not Forgotten". It might not be the best song in the world but it's far more deserving than a 31.
