Influences
Trying to pick one influence would be like being a painter and saying, “It looks like Picasso,” but refusing to acknowledge the cave painters in Southern France. They’re all in there.
Bio
Washington, D.C. native, Alan started playing piano at age eight from Sister Camille, a nun with a PhD. Later he attended the University of Maryland and studied with Santiago Rodriguez. He has a degree in Journalism from UM. Alan often "produced" his family's nightly entertainment - usually lip syncing with his sisters to the Oklahoma sound track or that 5th Dimension album with "Aquarius" on it.
Alan has worked with Last Train Home, Jeff Nelson (Adult Swim/Discord Records), Linda and Lewis McCall of Confunction, Washington Improv Theater, Source Theater, Colette Williams, and others. Alan lives with his wife in Albany, N.Y. while she completes her graduate degree. His goal is to get his catalog "out there."
