Thanks very much for the 5-star rating, Timothy. I actually wrote that song for my wife as a gift for our 25th wedding anniversary back in 2009. A musician buddy of mine still kids me every now and then for rhyming century with "denture-y" :)

The timing of your post is interesting because I just retired from my career in IT, and I'm just getting ready to start recording again. Wish me luck!

BTW, I grew up in Hazel Crest before moving to the west coast.

That's a great story behind the song, and congrats on the retirement! Sounds like you've got a fresh chapter ahead with recording again.

What are you planning to record next: new original songs, older material, or a mix of both? If you have a track or artist page you're working from, send it over to my email when you get a chance. I'd love to hear where the music is headed.

Thank you so much for the 5-star rating! ??'??"?️
I wrote this song the day after my mom passed away. I used to drive these country roads to visit her at the retirement home, so in many ways, the song is about that journey.

But isn't songwriting really about the journey? The roads we travel, the people we love, and the memories we carry with us along the way.

Thank you for listening and for being part of the journey. ??'??

Joseph, absolutely. There's a real story behind that song, and that kind of emotional connection can be valuable beyond just the song itself.

I work with independent songwriters on positioning their music for discovery and potential sync opportunities, but I'd first like to understand what you're currently doing with this song.

Are you mainly focused on songwriting/catalog exposure, or are you also looking to build more listeners and visibility around your music?

Ty, for our kind words. I may possibly touch base when I complete my demos. I have booked studio time to put down some vocals and basic tracks.

Best of luck

Absolutely, Joseph. And that sounds like a great next step.

Since you're already booking studio time, one thing I'd be happy to do is take a quick look at the direction of the demos once they're underway and point out where there may be opportunities for discovery or sync positioning before everything is finalized.

No pressure at all. When you're ready, just send me one of the demos or your artist/music link and I'll give you a couple of specific ideas based on what I hear.

Best of luck with the sessions,
Timothy

You're very welcome, Joseph. I just meant that once you have a demo ready, I'd be happy to listen and give you a couple of ideas specific to the song--especially around discovery and possible sync positioning.
