Mike Cruz is an extremely versatile musician, songwriter and producer. His songs with Five Point Plan have been featured in films such as the August 2004 Paramount Classics release 'Mean Creek' and on televison shows such as ESPN's 'X Games'. He has formed and written for many bands over his career. Various band mates have included Glenn Kotche (Wilco), Maya Rudolph (The Rentals, SNL), Gretchen Lieberum (Lakeshore Records), and Latrice Barnett (Ultra Records). He has been on stage and opened for such diverse acts as the Counting Crows, Live, India Arie, Sade, and B.B. King. In 2006 Mike began production on a solo project. The songs posted here are versions from the upcoming album featuring Glenn Kotche on drums, Tim Carter on Lap Steel, Mandolin, Ukelele and Mike Cruz on guitars, bass, keyboards, and vocals. Mike can also be seen touring nationally as an all around sideman in The Autumn Defense this Feb and March of 2007.
