Benjamin Martinec

After finding my grandfathers old guitar in the attic one afternoon at the age of 6 and teaching myself to play the national anthem (the only song I could play by memory at the time) I was hooked on music. All I wanted to do was hear the frequencies that I created. I knew I was alone in my obsession after I walked up and down the 88 keys of a family friends piano over and over and was scolded for the noise I was creating. I knew two things that day - I would never stop making music and that I would mostly be alone in this endeavor.

I grew up playing in the confines of my room through high school and adding electric guitar to my skillset (which was not easy to keep quiet) I was developing a choke on my expression and I am still struggling with it to this day.

I joined a band after college and we were successful regionally in Blues/Rock. I continue to write and dream of giving myself a fair chance to showcase
