Lando Lavarra (Black Lyon) is a Cuban artist based in the UK, originally from Guantánamo. His sound blends Trap with Afro-Cuban traditions such as rumba, conga and bembé. His song Te lo recordaré won Best Rap Song at the 2021 Cuerda Viva Festival. His debut album Malas Intenciones was produced by EGREM, distributed by The Orchard, pre-nominated for a Latin Grammy and nominated at Cubadisco 2024. He has performed across Cuba, Colombia, France, Bulgaria and the UK.
