Devaine was born in Toronto, Canada on June 2, 1990. He left his life in Architecture to pursue a career in music. He plays the piano, as well as the electric and acoustic guitar. He is knowledgeable in: musical theory, sound engineering, live recording, as well as mixing and mastering.
