Growing up, this down home southern "Georgia Boy" got his first taste of music in the crib, while his mother was playing her records. He found himself listening to every song and practicing every note. His passion for music had him sneaking to play his mother's records when she wasn't around. Artists like The O'Jays, The Jackson 5 and Al Green helped him to develop his soulful sound.Take a moment and visualize a humid and sunny afternoon at church. Inside was a 3-year-old boy playing around in his seat. He was so full of energy that it was hard for him to pay attention to the pastor (who was his grandfather). His grandmother always had her eye on him, trying to give him the "LOOK" to settle down. Little did they know, he was a star waiting to shine. At the ripe age of 5 Corey English first shined at church. He led the song " Jesus is Real." Needless to say , he had ever everyone moved by the essence of his voice. The rest is history!

"I recall being so small that I had to stand in a chair to sing." says Corey. After that performance he was called up to sing almost every Sunday..Corey grew up with the desire to sing from deep down inside. During and era when "booty shaking" music was the hottest thing around he focused on a way to bring back the smooth southern sound . His laid back personality helps him to not focus on the sounds of the outside world, but develop an orginal sound from inside.
