Chris Bates & The Virtual Reality Band brings a unique, high-energy performance that blends Chris Bates' musical journey with a modern twist. Starting his musical career as a high school guitarist, Chris quickly honed his craft and formed his first band. By the 1970s, he was rocking the Long Island scene as part of the popular party band The Off Hour Rockers. His passion for music carried him through the years, and in 1994, he made the move to Florida, where his performances expanded to include restaurants, upscale hotels, and private parties.

 

As a solo artist, Chris utilized backing tracks to create a full-band sound, delivering memorable performances that had guests dancing and singing along. Over the years, Chris developed a deep love for reggae, tropic rock, and yacht rock—genres that now define his style.
