Here is what a few people had to say about Gharun’s work:

"Its good for sitting in a rocking chair on a mountain cliff during a late spring morning in 78degree weather wearing sweatpants a loose T-shirt and flip-flops........ Reflecting on the events of your existence on earth as the sun comes up over the horizon. Possibly while smoking, Something about the CD makes me want to get high. It's weird, because I don't smoke.”

“Oh man, I love this tune - the vocals! That infectious rythym. That beat just made my heart stop and start over and over again. I want to find someone and dance slow and sultry until the sun comes up! Yeah. Absolutely wonderful.”

Bio

Personal Statement from the Artist:

Hi. My name is Gharun Lacy. I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my work. I was raised inside the city limits of our Nation’s Capital, Washington DC (affectionately know as Chocolate City). My parents love music and it showed in everyday of our lives. If I was raised by R&B and Soul, then I grew up with Hip Hop. And as I listen today, as bright eyed and enthusiastic as I did then, I still here them all talking to me. Take a listen, and tell me what you hear.
Now, you’re probably wondering “How in the world did this kid decide to try his hand in film composition?” Well that story is too long to include here. Let’s just say a friend challenged me and told me I couldn’t do it. From there I fell in love with the process and have continued to develop my ear for composition ever since. Combining the drama of traditional orchestration with the grit and soul of urban music and you get something completely different….something you have to hear to understand. Take a listen to “Epic on Asphalt” and you’ll get it. Got it? Good!
