BIOGRAPHY OF SHERRI EPPERSON

Sherri's parents always told her that when she was three years old, barely tall enough to reach the keys on the piano, she started picking out notes and making up songs. Her dad always told her that he believed she was a musical genius. Sherri comes from a musical family. Both grandparents on her dad's side were prominent, well known musicians in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her grandmother was a professional singer, pianist with her own radio show. Her grandfather was a music teacher, composed music and could play all instruments. Her dad was a trumpet player in the big band era. The name Epperson is a trademark for a heritage of excellent musicians.

Sherri continued playing piano, singing and writing songs all of through her life. By age twelve, she knew deep inside that she was destined to be successful in the music industry. She started working with cover bands in clubs at age nineteen playing keyboards and singing and had to use a fake I.D. to get in the door. She worked in club bands for about ten years while writing songs and lyrics. Sherri started multi-track recording some of her original songs in 1978, and recorded several of her songs with studio musicians through the years. She eventually learned to record songs on a keyboard sequencer including drums, bass, guitars and keyboards by herself.

Sherri started taking vocal lessons at age nineteen learning the Seth Riggs techniques. She has a unique, distinguishable alto voice and sings many of her own songs. She also writes songs that call for a higher, more soprano voice so she hires different singers for those particular songs. Sherri can take a great singer and work magic with her songwriting ability.

Sherri concentrated on English in school and worked extensively on poetry and lyrics. Her talent for writing lyrics is as strong as her talent for writing music, which both come naturally to her.

Sherri writes mostly pop, pop/rock, and pop/crossover country songs. Some of her influences in songwriting are: The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Heart, Dolly Parton, Billy Joel and Elton John. Some of her favorite country singers are: Gretchen Wilson, Faith Hill, Wynonna, Pam Tillis, and Martina McBride.

Sherri wrote all of the music and words, and arranged all of the instruments including drums. Sherri played all of the keyboards on all of the songs. She has written about 70 songs and truly believes that SEVERAL of them are hit material, and she is writing new really good songs all the time.

Sherri's objective is to find well known, or up-and-coming excellent singers to sing some of her songs, and very hopefully make many hit songs. Many of her songs are very vocally challenging and she would need the BEST of singers. She would like to work with studio musicians, and record the keyboards on the songs herself. She also would like to co-write songs with guitarists like Eddie VanHalen and record them with strong singers.

Sherri totally believes that she will be a successful song/lyric writer in the music industry with the RIGHT, POWERFUL PEOPLE behind her. With the right producer, singers and musicians, she hopes to make it straight to the top with several of her songs.
