I grew up singing acapella in the church. From there I knew I had a gift that I wanted to share with the world. The way I know that I've written a good song is if it touches the heart of all who will listen.
I am mostly a ballad writer, although I write a few rowdy songs every now and then. If I write a song that gives a listener the chills or makes them tear up, I know I've accomplished what I was going for.
To me that's what makes a good ballad.
