I Am Still The Same

Catapult Song Contest 2011: Winner of the Judges Prize and also Overall Winner. And this video was an official selection for the 2012 SoCal Film Festival. Also on iTunes, CD Baby etc. STORY BEHIND THE SONG: This song is based on a true story DC Cardwell read in a magazine of a woman with "locked-in syndrome", which means she had a spinal injury which rendered her unable to move anything except her eyelids. Eventually someone figured out how to communicate with her. She would spell out letters by blinking. Apparently the first thing she spelled out was "I Am Still The Same", which I thought was very profound. Amazingly, I think she went on to write at least one book!
