I Wish - Back story

Here is a little bit of back-story on my song, "I Wish". It really is about a place that makes you wish to return. What is that place for you? Sometimes places bring out a feeling of home, sometimes they bring out feelings of rest and relaxation, or joy and exuberance, or even sadness and mourning. For me, this song was about a place of horses and saddles and easy loping rhythms that go with them when you are trail riding in the rocky mountains at a leisurely pace. I was much younger when I wrote it, but I can still smell the aroma of cool mornings and well-worn leather tack. And the pedal steel guitar always belonged in this song, and at last I have it.
