Every new day, begins with melody. It is a part of a balanced breakfast. Kyle Whittaker holds this philosophy close to heart. As an artist, he believes in using every musical style or genre needed to complete a piece. From "Rock" to "Hip Hop", from "Electronica" to "Metal". Also, he understands his need to create music without quarter; his desire to spread as much melody as possible...

Update 2009

With each new year, comes a new beginning, and with that new beginning Kyle Whittaker is taking initiative after almost a full year away from his own music. This new initiative includes the completion of his debut album and a summer tour.

"I got caught up in a lot of other things over the past year. Completing my apprenticeship at Loft studio in Buffalo, moving to Toronto, and producing a number of other projects really distracted me from my own work. I'm hoping to make the most of 2009 by doing as much as possible." Whittaker
The last year has, in no way, been a waste of time. Whittaker has developed his craft as a producer and live sound engineer, which will translate well towards the production of the album. Also expected, is a diversity in musical styles, instruments, and lyrical content.

"I don't want every song to sound similar. I'm looking for a mixture of genres from folk to metal. I'm not a fan of every song having the exact same instruments or feel. I guess it [the album] will have more of a compilation feel to it. My personal greatest hits, hahaha!" Whittaker
Whittaker is currently booking shows across southern Ontario including Toronto, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls. The goal is to organize a summer tour to promote the album release, tentatively set for June 2009. Between now and then, Whittaker hopes to play numerous dates in anticipation of the record.

"I'm really looking forward to playing shows again. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed gigging. With any luck, I can grab myself a ton of shows between now and June." Whittaker
The upcoming year is filled with opportunity, and Whittaker has no doubt that he'll receive his share.
