Summerlee Staten was born in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in Dallas, Texas. Summerlee has performed as a professional singer, songwriter and actress in various venues and theatre’s throughout the world. After college, Summerlee moved to New York City where she worked for a Broadway Producer and embarked full time on her career as a singer songwriter. Returning to Nashville, Summerlee recruited top producer David Huff for her new recording project. The resulting CD was featured as “The Unsigned Artist of the Month” in Keyboard Magazine’s August 2002 issue.

Summerlee has recently signed a recording agreement with Capitol EMI Records South Africa. She is looking forward to being introduced to an international audience. At the same time, Summerlee will continue to tour in the United States and of course pursue her major passion, songwriting. Her music is also now available on the iTunes Music site.
