Like most of the people in my generation I grew up watching MTV. From the beginning it was a great idea and it helped the music industry to grow and initially was a good thing. But as more and more great musician's realize that because of MTV, image has become more important than music. While MTV is a necessary evil for any modern artist hoping to make it big, we have to ask ourselves, would janis jopin or john fogerty or any great artists from our past even make it in the world today due to their lack of emphasis on image. This song is just a comment that the torch should be passed back to the musicians from the milli vanilli - n'synch teen beat formulas. Do I need to get pectoral implants so people will listen to my music?

Song Description

the last few generations have all been MTV generations growing up with this cable giant molding and shaping the tastes and attitudes of millions of kids. "Unnaturally MTV" is a musical jab at the way MTV has encouraged an emphasis on appearrance and style over substance. And like the quick change of rapidly changing images and styles of MTV, so goes the music styes of the song. Rock-n-roll, rockabilly, jazz, latin, punk, hip-hop all make an appearance if for only a brief moment.
