This song is dedicated to my close friend Shawn Write who passed away in June of 1996. It's my goodbye to him.

I was 16 when man made me wizer, immaturity dies manhood makes you higher. Times of change growing up, you don’t forget the ones that helped you do that like the gifted who dropped knowledge on I didn’t miss it, gave me feelings I never thought existed. Looking up to you liking ya style and ya fashion, saying ya phrases even copying ya actions. I’d be mad disgusted my man bring it back to nice times, remembered for a lifetime. When cracking you’d take anyone out like you supposed to, make a man laugh who didn’t even know you. Personality stood out form the rest nothing less than unique, I was lucky to hear you speak. Bless the teacher speaking words of a wizeman, time to rise before the end of my time span. 18th of June I heard disturbing news, my man departed permanently. It hit me hard 24-hour day. Felt like 50 longest day I ever seen. I cried my eyes out aiming for the right route to go on then this happens. Ain’t mad at the Almighty Supreme Being, everything happens for a reason like Zhane said I face death.

I seen so much you showed me I admire you, my fam’s saying stay strong man I’m trying to. Sessions won’t be the same no more without you, I hope for happiness after days of darkness. Trag happens it takes time to heal wounds, ain’t no more “all right then see you real soon”. Just memories why’d you ever leave, them good times I lost count at 70. But you still here man I speak to you when I can, there’s just no face or response I get back. Ain’t ever seeing you again ‘til the day I’m with you on that other side I know that size fits you. Things is cut short why’d my man leave me, I was starving for knowledge you was there to feed me. Building my strength through mental workouts, opened my eyes from just word of mouth sessions.
