Song DescriptionMisty Green is the early morning mist over the green fields of Ireland. When the singer sees this mist it reminds him of his childhood and simpler times. Now living in the city he wonders coulld it be the same if he went back to the country.
Story Behind the SongWrote this with Harry Monson. I had the melody written for about four years and asked Harry could he come up with something lyrically. Love this song. Harry at his best.
Lyrics
Misty Green
Misty Green takes me down that road
Through the woods mountain streams run cold
I was young in a world so old
Where only seasons change
6 am Morning Frown
Traffic grinds to a crawl
Driving home and it?s almost dark
What?s the sense of it all
Misty Green takes me down that road
Through the woods mountain streams run cold
I was young in a world so old
Where only seasons change
Live and learn but you can?t go back
And if I did could it be the same
Still I dream that I?ll walk away
Put an end to this game
Misty Green takes me down that road
Through the woods mountain streams run cold
I was young in a world so old
Where only seasons change
City life it gets lonely
When you?re out there on your own
Often sit and think if only
But I was young, too young to know
Misty Green takes me down that road
Through the woods mountain streams run cold
I was young in a world so old
Where only seasons change
