Story Behind The Song
One of three songs written with Harry Monson. I took the melody to Harry to see if it would inspire him to come up with a lyric. It did.
Song Description
On a personal level the singer is telling of his struggle through life and it's disappointments but at the same time taking comfort in the fact that as sure as night turns to day "Everything Must Change".

Lyrics
Everything Must Change
Everything must change, surely change for the better
While we hope and pray, night will turn to day
Leaving behind stormy weather.
Tossed around inside a raging river
Nothing there for you to hold
Hard to see beyond this raging river
Quiet waters still unknown
Everything must change, surely change for the better
While we hope and pray, night will turn to day
Leaving behind stormy weather.
Flying over this unending ocean
No respite is here at hand
Heavy wings weighed down by tired emotion
Seeking out the promised land
Everything must change, surely change for the better
While we hope and pray, night will turn to day
Leaving behind stormy weather.
Promises made, dreams came undone
Believing the lies I was told
Games people played, leaving me on the run
Lost and alone.
