Song Description
The lyrics are a bit cryptic but it's about women leaving bad relationships behind, heading towards new beginnings in their life. Leaving abusive relationships in the past and saying "I've had enough." Women, myself included, feel the need to stay and try to make relationships work even if they are destructive and abusive, for whatever reason. I came up with the line Never Already because I had told an ex-boyfriend, when making promises about the future, yeah, yeah, I'm never gonna leave, I'm never gonna get together with this other guy (which I did), I'm never gonna fall out of love with you, etc... then finally one day I realized I had to get out, it was time to move on. So therefore, what I said would never happen happened, so Never Already is a spin on that.

Lyrics
Riding a train through a midnight sky
Chasing down the moon
Heading somewhere new alone
I took my heart off of my sleeve
Left it with the things
That I'll never need again
Chorus:
Eyes like yours could never see
How a heart like mine can bleed
I know I said I'd never leave
It's never already
Under the glow of the cabin lights
I can see her cry
Even though she tries to hide
He finally gave her a reason
Forced her way out of
Something less than love - this time
Chorus2:
Eyes like his could never see
How a heart like hers can bleed
And she said she'd never leave
It's never already
You could never see
How my heart can bleed
I know I said I'd never leave
It's never already
