Story Behind The Song
Loved Aretha and a trad spiritual called Wayfaring Stranger when I was little, which I sang in a choir and found very moving. A Traveller just popped out one day, and I was thrilled to have written something that reminded me of those great gospel-tinged tunes.

Lyrics
A Traveller
I?m a traveller
roaming this great wide world alone.
I?m a traveller
feeling my soul is far from home.
But I?ll get to the place where I can
ease my pain.
And I?ll find what I?m searching for
along the way.
I?m a traveller
reading the road signs on the way.
I?m a traveller
knowing my love?s so far away.
But I?ll get to the place where I can
see my way.
And I?ll find what I?m searching for
along the way.
Rain falls
sun shines.
Hearts break
Friends lie
Girls long
men sigh
Earth moves ?
everything must live and die...
I am a traveller
nobody even knows my name
I?m a traveller
nothing like you, but we?re the same
And we?ll get to the place where we can
see the way.
Yes, we?ll find what we?re searching for,
along the way.
