It was sritten as an actual account of my life at the time. I left home and my two children because I couldn't live with thier mother. I was alone but wondering what to do with myself. Lyrics
Verse 1
It's been six months since I left home.
Trying to make sense of my new world.
Learning how to live on my own.
Without my boy and my little girl.
Thier momma and I couldn't work things out.
So I'm wondering what I'll do for now.
I gotta make a plan, for this Single Man.
Chorus
Though there is no one to hold me,
There is no one to control me.
I decide my destination.
I'm my own keeper.
I'm a laugher not a weeper.
This world is my own creation.
Yes this life, is in my hands.
I'm a Single Man.
Verse 2
So do I stay home and watch TV?
Well, it depends what's coming on.
I could go to a bar and hit the whiskey,
But I have to work in the early morn'
There's so much that I could do.
I'm living a whole life that's new.
I got to make a plan, for this Single Man.
Chorus
Yes this life is in my hands, and I'm a single man
