Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after the departure of a friend. It may have been a way of dealing with my anger over the situation. It seems natural for some people to leave a situation rather than stick it out. The sky is not always falling though, and you have to learn to deal sooner or later.
Song Description
A song about sticking it out when the goin' gets tough. It's never as bad as you think, but if you don't stick around, how would you know?

Don't Leave Now
Lyrics and music by T.J. Neveldine © 2005
All of this sleep,
It makes me tired to know,
Waking is harder when you?re not around
I?m leaving the dream,
Could I choose not to wake?
Unrealize the fate haunting me now? What?s done is done
Nothing is real,
What if the truth remains,
Only the scars and stains make us believe
It?s harder to feel the absence of presence left,
I become overwhelmed making me bleed?and I can?t see
Don?t leave now,
I swear this time the sky?s not falling down
It freaks me out,
For better or worse, I think it?s starting
Don?t leave now,
I?ll find to a way to figure this out somehow
Keeping the peace,
Only let quiet stay
Everything always fades further along
Making your way,
Cover your tracks so well
Nobody lives to tell what is lost, and where you?ve gone
Don?t leave now,
I swear this time the sky?s not falling down
It freaks me out,
For better or worse, I think it?s starting
Don?t leave now,
I?ll find to a way to figure this out somehow
Funny how I?ve fallen far behind
Caught beneath the undertow of time
Sorry now you?re problems become mine
All mishaps are forgotten
Don?t leave now,
I swear this time the sky?s not falling down
It freaks me out,
For better or worse, I think it?s starting
Don?t leave now,
I?ll find to a way to figure this out somehow
