Story Behind The Song
Remember when you were 16. You had your whole life ahead of you and nothing was more important than hanging out with your friends. Those high school friends you've lost touch with but will never forget. That home town you began to hate when it started to feel way to small to hold your dreams. Throughout our lives we travel a lot of roads, learn a lot of lessons and take a lot of detours to 'make it where we stand'. Eventually we become the person we grow up to be. If we're lucky we have some good companions along for the ride. I know I have mine.

Lyrics
VERSE
We drove down to where the highway bends
Down to the Gateway water's edge
Passed around our spirit, soaking in the night
Passing time, till time passed us by
In the morning light we swam
To drunk to know where the begins
Won't Go, home is here with all my friends
Where I'm safer driving, forever
Forever
CHORUS 1
So come on baby
Don't be crazy
We can take this life
Hand in hand
Side by side
Where We Stand
VERSE
Some say you were the voice of reason
Someday I'll finally get to laving town
This broken town's all I know
This broken heart's yours, forever
Forever
CHORUS 2
So come on baby
Don't be crazy
We can make this right
Hand in hand
Side by side
Where we stand
Where We Stand
REPEAT CHORUS 2
VERSE
Some say I still think of you
As I ride beneath the August moon tonite
I'll keep on driving, forver
Forever
CHORUS 2
