Lyrics
MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA
Close the shutters, pull the shades down
Draw the curtains, lock the door
The sun is setting on a lonely town
The sound of silence nears a roar
For she?s mourning his departure
Mourning becomes Electra
Love the father, hate the mother
Vengeful daughter, saddened son
Her fate is naked without cover
And her Reason?s on the run
For she?s mourning his departure
Mourning becomes Electra
The mother?s lover is killed by her son
The mother finds out and puts a gun
To her head, and blows her mind
The daughter finds out that both are dead
She wraps a scarf around her head
And dances to unwind
Dress in black and sing a sad song
Close the rusted gates of Hell
Trapped inside the act that rights the wrong
Mark her passing with a bell
For she?s mourning his departure
Mourning becomes Electra.
