A relationship between a father and son that has never lived up to the son's dreams. The father has never been strong when it comes to dealing emotionally with the son. In the sons wildest fantasy, the two of them would finally have it out one day and yell and scream at each other. Lyrics
I'm not a young man and you are not old
Time keeps on moving as seasons unfold
As winters turn summer and summers turn cold
We are all moments that should have been spent
Clearing the meanings of all that we meant
And someday we'll wonder where all the time went
Someday we'll be gone, Someday we'll wish we had said more
Someday we'll be gone, so what are we waiting for?
What are we waiting for?
Sometimes I see thru the eyes of a kid
Seeing you just as the bad things you did
Plotting my anger like points on a grid
Sometimes I see thru the eyes of a man
Knowing that you did the best that you can
And love doesn't always go as you plan
CHORUS
Let's scream and shout
We'll yell and swear and curse and worse,
we'll share and bare it all and let it out
And Ill remember wrong and you will say, "I see"
And we'll both be free to be
'Til then we'll watch as the seasons unfold
Stories of us will remain untold
You are the sword and the shield in my soul
'Til then I'll keep on keeping my scores
Winning by losing my childish wars
Knowing there's no laugh that's better than yours
CHORUS
