Story Behind The Song

When we were writing musical theater shows for kids, Brian was the pianist on the shows. He was a lovely human being. He died in a motorcycle accident. When we got the letter telling us about it, we were heartbroken and wrote this song. We cried while we were writing it. It still makes us cry.

Song Description

It's a duet that looks at the life of someone who passed away and tries to make sense of it. In the end, the only way to make sense of it is to write a song and say goodbye.
