Story Behind The Song
"We Love You, Glasgow" is a tribute to two of The Goodbye's Radio's favorite bands and biggest influences: Teenage Fanclub and Belle and Sebastian. Both hail from Glasgow, Scotland.
The song is also the story of someone who has a perennial "grass is greener" mentality. As the key line of the song says: "you can't know just where you're going if you're going to hate every place that you're in."

Lyrics
We love you, Glasgow
For showing me there's more to life
Than what my job allows
We love you, Glasgow
For telling me it's not always right
To feel so safe and sound
It's the same old story
And I'm trying to get out
And it's the same old worries
They run me aground
They bring me down
To say
Me and the boys
We can sing, "oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah"
Over and over again
But, in the end
We'd feel like fakes
Me and the boys
Trying to rewind the daily grind
Help me begin again to amend all of our mistakes
Cause you can't know just where you're going
If you're going to hate every place where you've been
It's the same old story
And I'm trying to get out
And it's the same old worries
They run me aground
They bring me down
To say
We love you, Glasgow
And Liverpool and ocean's waves
Bring me out of this haze
We love you, Glasgow
And that's for sure
Although I've never set foot there before
