Ode to Mr Reith

Story Behind The Song

Some politicians will do anything to get elected. Hate, racism, minority groups, you name it. In this case it was little children who got trampled on, so to speak. And it worked. And the smirk on the face of the perpetrator when victory was his and the accolades poured in was unbearable. The man had no conscience.

Song Description

The single line chorus screams 'Is your conscience bothering you?'. This is a small production of a BIG song. The grungy feel is deliberate - once you hear it through you will appreciate just how much it contributes to the earnest, soulful nature of the protest against people who have no conscience. Lots of acoustic guitars and a simple drum beat contrast with the angry, brilliantly evocative vocals, and the melodic payoff in the chorus. It's impossible to turn off or turn down.
