Story Behind The Song
Inspired by the simple power of Hank William's "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry."
Song Description
I wanted to portray the sense of desolation and "emotional paralysis" of losing someone close--not necessarily a lover or spouse. The reason for the loss is left open -- death, break-up, divorce -- it can all feel the same.

Lyrics
Well you'd think by now I'd learn
How to start my life anew.
But it makes no difference, no difference where I turn
'Cause I can't let go of you.
Each night I still hear your voice
Echo through our empty room.
And I would not listen if I had a choice
But I can't let go of you.
If memories were like the grains of sand
The waves would carry them to the sea.
And if those grains would slip right through my hands,
I could move on and be free.
All that's good and kind and blest
I see from my world of blue.
And I'd hold it all so tightly to my breast
If I could just let go of you.
It's not your fault I live in the past
A prisoner of a love so true.
So I bide my time running nowhere fast
"Cause i can't let go of you.
