Lyrics
(1)
She had a life in New Orleans,French marble and tile
Given a guitar at the age of nine
So tired of the junk she was being fed, everything cajun style
She never slowed down til she crossed the Tennessee line
(ch)
Cos' nobody's from Nashville, nobody's from Nashville
Come by plane,car or bus
Chase your dreams like the rest of us
Cos' nobody's from Nashville,from L.A. to Gainesville
It's okay to call this town your home
But nobody,nobody's from Nashville
(2)
Home grown in Oklahoma, sheltered from what's real
He spent ten years bleedin on Music Row
Sometimes it ain't about what you're playing
When you're tryin to cut a deal
We love the music baby, tell us who you know
repeat ch.
(brdg)
The sun rises on a Dixie morning the same as anywhere
But you can't smell the Sweet Magnolias if you ain't living there
(3)
They were packed and ready to leave
God they'd been here way too long
Just turn the key and kiss this town goodbye
But something keeps burning in their souls
Everytime they write a song
About a dreamer landing with star struck eyes
repeat ch.
