Story Behind The Song

I wanted to compose more standard, themed songs using a fully digital approach. I used my Roland V-Session kit to track the drums, but applied quantization to the parts individually and didn't use the Roland's sounds but, instead, opted for my E-MU Orbit-3's 909 Dance kit mapping. All synth parts are directly from the Orbit-3 in stock form from the ROMs. Sequencing, mixing and mixdown were performed using only Cakewalk SONAR 1.3. This song was made in about 12 hours over two days' time.

Song Description

In keeping with the TerraDigital paradigm, this song maintains its industrial/techno roots while also being successfully musical. It has a proper introduction, verse, bridge and chorus succession, something rather rare in techno.
