Story Behind The Song
I needed time off from work to go to London wiht the band. I was given a choide stay and work in clothes store or follow my dreams and go to London. After much slating of myself and my band from the boss I told him to ram his job. I went to London.
Life From Afar was wriiten on the tour bus on my return from London. It's my feelings at that moment on the bus. We didn't get our record deal - cos the label never showed - and I was going home with no job. But I was happy and proud to be in a band.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
They say the devils boots don?t creek,
There?s a lot of things I?d like to say but I can?t speak.
Torn between two lives a battle of wills,
Broken minds that?s how you get your thrills.
CHORUS
I want to fly away,
Sore up above the trees,
I?m not going to spend my life upon my knees.
I?m going to fly away,
Rise up among the stars,
You?re going to watch my life from afar.
VERSE 2
Standing still in a life of nine to five,
A visual overload, a pack of lies.
I feel happy when it?s easier to be sad,
A few dreams that?s all I?ve ever had.
CHORUS
I want to fly away,
Sore up above the trees,
I?m not going to spend my life upon my knees.
I?m going to fly away,
Rise up among the stars,
You?re going to watch my life from afar.
MIDDLE
I know how to see things,
I know how to feel,
I used to hurt badly,
It?s getting easy to heal.
CHORUS
I want to fly away,
Sore up above the trees,
I?m not going to spend my life upon my knees.
I?m going to fly away,
Rise up among the stars,
You?re going to watch my life from afar.
