Lyrics

I'm not the kind of man
That has his life all neatly planned
That's just the way I am
Ain't no changing now
But there are times I sit and dream
About the way things might have been
If I had only changed the scene
How it would've all turned out

Now in my younger days
Struggling to find my way
I lived life day to day
Where the wind did blow
I might have gone real far
Playing this old guitar
I might have been a star
Guess I'll never know

But I placed my bets
And baby I have no regrets
We may have never met
Down that other road
Any other place or time
We might have passed each other by
A simple roll of the dice
That's how it goes

Baby me and you
When I think of all that we've been through
And how that love just grew
Blossomed like a rose
I still see that young girl standing there
Bright blue eyes and golden hair
My one and only Lady Fair
Glad I'm the one you chose

As for those dreams of fame
I could throw them all away
Seems a small price to pay
For loving you my friend
I know you placed your bets
I'm hoping you have no regrets
I promise you the best is yet
Waiting round the road

I know you placed your bets
I'm hoping you have no regrets
I promise you the best is yet
Waiting round the road

This song is a nice mix of multiple instruments, including an accordion, a few guitars, a bass and drums (based on my limited experience listening to this song). The arrangement is melded nicely and every instrument stays on time/beat. Its an interesting sound, with a bob dylan style vocal and the accordion adding a polka/tejano/southwestern element. Comes together well and wish you best!

Great playing, tasty. You have obviously been doing this a while.
