They told me the story of how they met, how they both loved to win, they love gifts, they're not typically very romantic, yet their story is, and they wanted a little breakdown section because they love the Beastie Boys, so I did it in the context of THIS song. I flew from Seattle to Charleston, S.C. and sang it for them at their wedding. They had to kiss every time I sang the words Babe and Angel, and I sang them a lot! It was 95F that day and the humidity was the same, but it was a blast. I love writing tunes for special events like this.
