Song Description

A bad break up and the realization that I'm not alone in my sadness. It is what it is. Sorrow is.

Story Behind the Song

A bad break up led me to pack up and move half way across the country to find myself in a hollow hotel room, alone with my sorrow. I soon came to recognize, I was just one of many chained to memories, drowning in sadness. Sorrow is all too real for all too many.

Lyrics

Nothing's new under the sun
Many have been here before
I thought that you, you were the one
But now we've closed that door

Another day and a new hope is dawning
Upon my portion of grief
I've bitten into more than can be chewed
Just one thought brings relief

ch:
Sorrow is not new to me
I'm not the only one who has been deceived
I'm not alone in life whose
Love has been lost
I am consoled by just one thought
Sorrow is

Release the love and let it die
Many have mentioned before
I fought so hard to keep this love alive
I just can't fight anymore

Another day and another love is dying
Am I alone in my grief?
I'm listening to
the tears a friend is crying
It brings such morbid relief
