On That Day (9-11-01)

Story Behind The Song

As a disabled veteran, USMC the things that happened that day affected me in ways that others can never imagine. All I can say to you is, "never forget ". My wife started writing this song about our actual events that happened to us on that day. It was "Her Birthday". I saw a picture a few days later that I will never forget that showed Jesus holding the Towers up with His hands as the tears ran down his face. Precious helped incorporate those thoughts in the song. To me everyone that lost someone, something or helped on that day will always be a HERO. God Bless Phil of Soggydawgs

Song Description

The song is the identical events that happened to my wife and I on that day. It was actually her birthday andI will never forget her expressions that sheshared on that day. Several days later I seen a picture of Jesus and the TwinTowers. It was the beginning of those thoughts that lead to this song and my wife's wonderful talent of lyric writing that made this song. This is one song that I really don't care what the critics think, because it was really from our hearts expressed in the only way we knew how to. We tried many times to rewrite without success. Hopefully you will feel our thoughts and admire all those wonderful people that helped others on that day.

?Hearts Reaching Out? CD - Track #2

Music: Phil Bennington
Lyrics: Phil & Connie Bennington

Something happened what seems like days ago,
I can?t get out of my mind,
I was sitting there talking with family and friends
When I looked up at the TV
emptiness filled me

The darkest smoke I ever saw billowed from them both
And soon they were gone, along with part of the Pentagon
The firefighters, the loved ones on those planes
And so many unknown Heroes gave all the Love
That they could give on that Day 9-11

Chorus:
So much love poured out on that day
From free hearts reaching out
And that love goes on ?????..

I saw a picture just the other day that
I can?t get out of my mind
All the Heroes were holding onto Jesus Rob,
As the tears ran down His Face

The towers were held up in the palms of his hands
But soon they were all gone . . . . . . . . . .

The USA won by showing all her Love,
The sharing hearts, her open hands and all those Prayers
that she gave on that day ??.
and it keeps going on

Chorus:
So much love poured out on that day
From free hearts reaching out
And that love goes on and on??.

Ending
And that love goes on ???????..
