Story Behind The Song
This song began with an idea of two trees representing two people and how naturally real love grows without effort, just as God would have it. I decided to integrate into the lyrics two actual trees watching as two people grow close, together, and finally intertwine, as trees literally often do. Ultimately, the trees are cut down, but as nature is resiliant, so are the two trees that become the timber for the house that the couple end up living in as one!

Lyrics
Two Trees
Skaie Zoe
Two trees, they, break seed, and,
grow up from earth into the sky,
Never knowing they?d be watching
us as we?d kiss for the first time.
Then we?d play games of hide and can you find, oh hmm?yeah
Impressing dandelions as we?d learn to read our minds.
And I know, yes, I know, where there?s a place that we can go,
And I know, yes, I know?that you?re a part of me.
Two trees, now are touching,
and reaching, intermingling,
As our guests, as we celebrate,
another year you loving me,
Playing games of truth, oh, and will you dare me, underneath this shaded canopy, then carving out our names to claim this twosome?s love story.
And I know, yes, I know, where there?s a place that we can go,
And I know, yes, I know?that you?re a part of me. ..
Bridge
Growing into one, grounded in our love, never hesitating,
Growing into one, grounded in our love, so intoxicating.
Our two trees now, they?ve been cut down, and all we see is sky and sun, but the timber, is now the frame for, our house where we will grow as one?
