Story Behind The Song
This song sprung out of my arousal and frustrations. I had just gotten off the phone with one of my demo singers who sounds so attractive over the phone. I knew where I had to draw the line between Producer/Songwriter and affectionate friend. When I hung up the phone I just pounded the carpeted floor twice and came up with the beet for the song---on my knees. The melody and the words to the chorus followed briefly, I then put the song away to find the acompanying chords later.

Lyrics
(Chorus)
Somehow I gotta feel, that this love that we got is real.
Somehow I gotta feel, that this love that we got is real.
Taken all of my hours,
You wasted all of my time;
Never knew if you planned it,
Put your love on the side.
(Chorus)
Time I should?ve forgot you,
The truth hid under the lies;
Selfishly I resort to,
A girl like a baby who cries.
(Chorus)
Don?t we get second chances,
The Lord forgives every time;
We could learn from each other,
Only if we both have time.
I?m waiting, hoping, preying that we
Hold on to what really matters?
(Chorus)
(Chorus)
I?m waiting, hoping, preying, holding;
Onto the love we share inside.
And maybe if the Lord has granted,
We both can learn what really matters.
(Chorus)
(Chorus)
