Story Behind The Song

a song i wrote waiting to be called for jury duty. tired hung over wanting to be anywhere but there. I was reading USA Today- a whole page devoted to reality tv, so it got me thinking about my reality, and then this came out..

Song Description

a song that was inspired by "friends in low places" wanted to connect with a melody and feeling that people would sing in a bar, dancing on tables, or jamming in their cars pounding out the snare hits on their steering wheel or with hand outside the care tapping with the beat. Just a get loose and go kind of tune. Fun song

Lyrics

Verse 1
Got no motivation
Feel like I want to weep
I'll Wait till they call my number
But I'm not missing sleep

and I'm waiting-waiting for my release

Verse 2
Want to be in the movies
Want to be on tv
but don't make me sit through
your reality

cause I'm waiting-waiting for my release

CHORUS
And when I'm leaning forward
and when I'm pushing back
Need you to get me going
this is what this day lacks...this day lacks

Verse 3
Can't make love to a cell phone
Only so much dot com
Got too many gadgets
but I can't turn the light on

cause I'm waiting-waiting for my release
