Story Behind The Song
This is another of my favourites from the album. Not to be confused with The Style Council?s 1982 single of the same name, this guitar-based song is about a man's past love affair and remembering the good times that he had together with his lover.
Song Description
Medium-paced pop/rock song, guitar-based with a good vocal harmony for the chorus.

The Long Hot Summer

VERSE ONE:
Do you remember, do you recall
Way back when we had it all
I was the one holding your hand
We had a love to understand
We were strangers then we were friends
We had a love not wanting to end
With you in my arms I was so high
We never wanted to say goodbye
CHORUS:
Do you remember the long hot summer we had
Do you remember the long hot summer we had
VERSE TWO:
I always knew that you were for real
You were never a dream that I could steal
You gave me something to keep me alive
All of the day and all of the night
REPEAT CHORUS TWICE
VERSE THREE: INSTRUMENTAL
REPEAT CHORUS TWICE
