Bottles

Story Behind The Song

At the very end of a 48 hour recording session when all of the other tracks we done and the band was making dinner and wrapping up, Emchy started messing around on Sizzle's mandolin. She thought of a riff and some words and talked the guys into putting dinner on hold while they tried to capture the new tune. They did.

Lyrics

Walking not sure where I'll end
Walking I meet a new friend
They got a bottle they want to share
we got a bottle to get us there

We got our bottles
We got our bottles

Driving out to the tracks
we're driving we ain't coming back
got these bottles with dreams in mind
got these bottles and plenty of time

got those bottles
doo doo doo doo do do doo
doo doo doo doo do do doo
got our bottles

now we made it out to shore
we're drinkin always wanting more
we just keep drinking all the whiskey
and we're walking out past the sea

doo doo do doo
doo doo doo doo do do doo

got those bottles
we swing in dark waters
holding our bottles high

we swim in dark waters
holding bottles up high
