Looking For Jesus (Ritchie/Dunkle)

Story Behind The Song

This is a collaboration with musical mastermind Ian Ritchie, great job Ian! The song is an imaginary tale about a young socialite who follows the Magi to find Jesus. Jesus lived on earth for approximately 33 years and after He arose from the grave and after approximately 500 people watched Him ascend into heaven so also did this man who is now in his 50's. The song ends with him staring out the window while looking for Jesus to return to earth, wise men still look for Him today.

Lyrics

Some call me wealthy, some call me wise
But I feel so empty, so empty inside
Now I follow the Magi and a star at night
Looking for Jesus on this cold wintry night, as a dove flies by.

I feel so hopeless the more I try
Each night gets longer and I wonder why
Watching the Magi gaze into the sky
As the snowflakes fly
As the snow begins to fly

This star it shines way to bright
I hope the Magi can tell me why

Why, Tell me why

Now that I've found Him I'm happy inside
And one day He's coming, He's coming back
I look out my window every single night
Looking For Jesus everyday and every night, Every day and every night

Do you hear the thunder roll by
As the snow begins to fly
