woke up that day

Story Behind The Song

This was the first song my daughter wrote with me! I was very proud of her. She predominantly did the lyrics and I did the melody and arrangement.

Song Length 3:12 Genre Pop - Easy Listening

Lyrics

would you ever want to stay
would you ever want to go
would you ever want to dream
would you ever want to know
oh oh

woke up that day in your bed
in my head i was shouting
gotta get myself out
you were pouting
knowing that we were both doubting
what lies ahead

would you ever want to stay
would you ever want to go
would you ever want to dream
would you ever want to know
oh oh

so i get in my car
goin' fast goin' far
just to clear things
up in my mind thinking our fling
has left me with scars from that one spring
we met at the bar

would you ever want to stay
would you ever want to go
would you ever want to dream
would you ever want to know
oh oh

when you spoke and the words falling out
of your mouth were inviting
looking back at it all is exciting
but flash forward and we can't stop fighting
have we reached our 'the end'

love is a verb
it means so many things
and it means so much more
than silly diamond rings
and
time is a word
it marks when you're not here
i know when i'm alone
a day a month a year

would you ever want to stay
would you ever want to go
would you ever want to dream
would you ever want to know
oh oh

woke up that day in your bed
in my head i was shouting...

I catch an 80's vibe from this song. Cool...

Good fun little tune, i could see this playing as a assistant to a scene on sesame street.Very fun

Kinda catchy idea here, some good conceptualized ideas that need better development IMO, but nice start for sure.
