Story Behind The Song

I've had the chorus for this song in my head since I was 15 or 16 but it took me until I was 18 to finally think of verses for it! One day in July 2009, I was just sitting down, not thinking about songwriting at all, when the piano riff just came into my head! I went to the piano to play it and conveniently I realised that it was in the same key as the chorus I'd had in my head for so many years. I remembered that the last line of the chorus was "Not so Innocent" and I decided to base the lyrics around that idea. The song is about liking someone and trusting them but then you find out that they've betrayed you behind your back. I decided to put another flute improvisation in this song and I don't really know why! I'm quite happy with the way it sounds though.
